Synaps, a new Issuer
for Polygon ID
Synaps offers solutions ranging from humanity validation to regulated KYC/AML and KYB processes. As an identity verifier committed to the Web3 industry, Synaps has been actively transitioning to the decentralized world over the past year. With its advanced technology, Synaps has transformed into an Issuer for decentralized identity protocols, providing them with Verifiable Credentials. Synaps first VCs was issued for Anima dID protocol.
Today, Synaps announces that it will be a new issuer for the Polygon ID ecosystem . The Polygon ID identity technology facilitates trusted and secure relationships between apps and users, following the principles of self-sovereign identity and privacy by default. Polygon ID enables organizations on one side to issue Verifiable Credentials about users, and organizations on the other side to verify those VCs via a suite of tools created for each member of the SSI ecosystem.

New Verifiable Credentials for Polygon ID ecosystem
Synaps is a new issuer in the Polygon ID Ecosystem. To start, Synaps will issue a Verifiable Credential to prove that users are human and not bots in disguise.
PROOF OF LIFE
The first VC issued on Polygon ID by Synaps is called Proof of Life (PoL) allows users to prove their humanity while maintaining their privacy.
The technology ensures that the Web3 community leveraging the PoL only consists of real people and not bots. Using Synaps’ advanced liveness technology, a "Human User" Verifiable Credential will be issued to certify the user's humanity. Unlike other identification methods, this approach fully preserves user privacy. Our AI technology will validate the user's humanity, and a "blue tag" will be issued to indicate that the user is human. The purpose of this identification method is not to prevent multi-accounting, but to guarantee that users are genuine human beings.
Aside from ensuring the humanity of community members, our solution can also verify user's uniqueness for other applications that require users to be distinct for the prevention of the use of multiple accounts.
ID CREDENTIALS
This second step will be to focus on the following credentials for Polygon ID:
Age: User’s age along with their birth details (day, date of birth)
Country Code: User’s citizenship represented by country code
Verified: Indicates whether the user's identity has been verified through KYC procedures
Document Type: Identifies the type of document associated with the claim data.
